Sonny
Author: Whitney Ford
My name is Whitney
Ford and my horse's name is Leo Vee 102, but I call him Sonny
for short. Iv'e had him for 5 months . He's been so great since
I got him! He's half barrel horse and half cow horse. He's 3
years old and he's registered. He has a famous blood line, his
great grandfather is COLONEL FRECKLES! What I really like about
him is he follows me around like a big puppy dog, and he gives
me hugs and kisses. Every morning I get up to feed him and right
when I walk into the barn he whinnys really loud as if he's
saying hello. And after school I go to feed him and he's always
out in the pasture and when he sees me he starts running and
whinnying.He's my best friend!

Myriah Vitaa
Author: Kim Winterhalt
Okay the story of Myriah, well when I first got her she was a really
nervous horse and she was a complete freak and she was really
hard to catch, with a lot of one on one time she is coming
around really nicely. Myriah is a purebred Chestnut Arabian. Her
mom is my other horse FA Avita. She is 15.1 hh, and she is 8
years old. She was bred to RD Jovani a purebred Arabian stud for
a 2005 baby! Myriah can be ridden western but she likes hunter
way better. I might be showing her this year too. In this
picture it is one of my first rides on her, so we weren’t used
to each other yet! I will love her forever! |

FA Avita
Author: Kim Winterhalt
Okay the story on
Avita! She is 20 yrs old, she is a purebred grey Arabian, she is
14.3 hh. I got her when I was first learning how to ride, shes
taught me a lot and when ever she sees me coming to see her or
ride her she is always so happy to see me!! We have been doing
very good in shows, she is a very gentle horse that I can jump
on her bareback wit no bridle no nothing on her and we can ride
around in her pen. She is Myriah’s mom, and Myriah is going to
have a baby so I will have the grandma, the daughter and the
grand baby! My friends step mom gives riding lessons on her to,
to younger kids that don’t know how to ride yet. I was in 4-H
with her this past year. I also rode her in the parade along
with Steph and Trif. We are going to show this year also, we are
going in the parade again this year to. I will love her forever! |

Trific-K-Dence
Author: Steph
Trific-K-Dence aka Trif. He is 11 years old. Before Trif came to
us he used to a high trotting English horse. We got him in April
of 2004, I showed him the same year hunter and finally we tried
western, he LOVES it. I showed him Western for the first time in
Weignright, we went first!! I was so happy! He is special to me
because he picked me out of my family he chose me. When I am not
there to feed him, my step mom told me that he sticks his nose
up in the air and trots away. He is the biggest suck ever, when
he hurts himself he will stand there and lick your hand and he
will have the saddest eyes! Trif is a purebred chestnut Arabian.
Trif is 14.3 hands tall. I will love him forever! You can do
anything with him. I was in 4-H with him this past year also! We
are hoping to go to Regionals this year! Wish me luck! |

Southern Pine Taffy
Author: Megan
Southern Pine Taffy is me and my friend's horse. He is in his 30s. the special thing about him is that he was rescued by my friend. You see, he was skin and bones when she bought him. He has asthma and bad feet. With her good treatment and knowledge of horses, he has gained weight and is running around like the colt he spends his time with. He loves, kids, food, food, and food. He cantered over my foot and he had just gotten his horse shoes and Lord knows, it hurt. We call Southern Pine Taffy, Pine. He is a QH/Blanket Appaloosa and is a sweetheart!
